Course · Stage 3: Learn from winners without copying · Lesson 7/24 · 8 min
Why it matters
Million-subscriber channels win on brand and an existing audience; there is little you can apply right away.
Small channels growing fast show you a formula working under conditions like yours.
Step by step
- From your outlier list, pick 5 channels under 100K followers.
- Open Channel analysis: average views, posting frequency, hit rate, posting hours.
- Note each channel's main format, length and opening style.
- Mark which are accelerating (new videos beating old ones).
- Follow 2–3 of them to get alerts when they have a breakout.
Common mistakes
- Studying the biggest channel in the space.
- Studying a channel that stopped posting.
- Watching without writing numbers down.
