Seasonal and holiday content — at home and abroad
Last updated 13 Oct 2026
Search and shopping demand rise around events. Prepare weeks ahead instead of chasing when it's too late.
Course · Stage 6: Publish, measure, multiply · Lesson 32/40 · 8 min
Why it matters
A video posted when people start searching (before the event) beats one posted on the day.
Each country has its own holidays and shopping seasons; foreign-market channels must follow that market's calendar.
Step by step
- List the events in the next 3 months for your market (e.g. Halloween, Black Friday, Christmas — or Tết and Mid-Autumn for Vietnam).
- For each: pick 1–2 angles that fit your niche (gifts, prep tips, stories).
- Post early enough for the platform to distribute; use trend tools to see when demand starts rising.
- Sales videos: choose products selling well for that event and check stock / delivery times.
- Afterwards, log what worked so you can start earlier next year.
Common mistakes
- A Christmas video on December 25th.
- Using Vietnam's holidays for an English channel.
- Promoting seasonal products that are sold out.
Ready-made prompt (ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini)
Channel about [topic], market [country]. List the holidays / shopping seasons in the next 3 months for that country, with 2 niche-fitting video ideas for each and when to post (how long before). Only use events that really exist in that country.
Exercise
Plan videos for the next 2 events in your market.
Done when: Each event has a niche angle, a post date ahead of the event and (for sales) products in stock.
