Three places most creators neglect that help viewers stay, find the video and click your link.
Course · Stage 6: Publish, measure, multiply · Lesson 28/40 · 7 min
Why it matters
Chapters let viewers jump to the part they need instead of leaving.
A pinned comment holds your link, a discussion question and any correction.
Step by step
- Description: first two sentences say what the video solves (with the keyword), then related links, then sources if any.
- Long videos: add chapters with timestamps starting at 0:00, each with a short, specific name.
- Pin one comment: an open question viewers can answer + your main link (if any).
- Sales videos: disclose affiliate / sponsored links as the platform requires.
- After 48 hours, read comments and update the description if viewers keep asking the same thing.
Common mistakes
- An empty description or just hashtags.
- Generic chapter names ("Part 1").
- Undisclosed affiliate links.
