Format and a 30-day posting rhythm
Last updated 13 Oct 2026
One main format, a rhythm you can keep, and a 30-day calendar to collect enough data.
Course · Stage 1: Start right · Lesson 3/24 · 8 min
Why it matters
The algorithm needs enough videos to learn who your channel is for. Three videos then two weeks off gives you no data on what works.
A rhythm you can keep beats a high one: 3 videos a week, every week, beats 10 in week one and then nothing.
Step by step
- Pick a main format: Shorts / Reels / TikTok (under 60 s) or long videos (8–15 min). Add a second format later.
- Time how long one real video takes (script + visuals + edit) and work out how many per week you can sustain.
- Plan 30 days: for each video, topic, angle, date and posting time.
- Post in your market's best hours (see the Posting calendar).
- Judge after 30 days — before that, only fix technical mistakes.
Common mistakes
- Switching format every two videos.
- Setting a pace you burn out on.
- Judging the channel after one week.
Ready-made prompt (ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini)
Channel about [topic], format [Shorts / long], I can make [n] videos per week. Build a 30-day plan: date, posting time in [country] time, topic, angle (no repeats), hook type. Alternate three angle types: how-to, story, comparison.
Exercise
Make a 30-day calendar for your channel (Posting calendar or a spreadsheet).
Done when: Every video has a date, time and topic, and the pace matches your real production time.
