Everyone watches, but the niche is huge — you need a "character" and your own angle.
Course · Stage 7: Niche playbooks · Lesson 21/24 · 9 min
Why it matters
Pet videos cross language barriers: a wordless video can find viewers in many countries.
Because everyone makes them, winning channels usually have an animal with a clear personality or a narrow angle (senior cats, rescue dogs, first-time owner tips).
Step by step
- Dig the broad niche ("cat care"), then dig 3 narrow angles; pick the one with the highest small-channel opportunity.
- Give the main character a personality (lazy, greedy, jealous) and keep it in every video.
- If you use AI: lock fur colour, markings and collar in the character description so the animal doesn't change between shots.
- For care tips: only give safe advice; for health issues, tell viewers to see a vet.
- Try a wordless version (music + short captions) to reach viewers in several countries.
Common mistakes
- Covering everything about pets so nobody remembers the channel.
- The AI animal changing fur colour between shots.
- Wrong health advice that causes harm.
