QA your AI video before posting
Last updated 13 Oct 2026
Extra hands, random text, faces changing between scenes, lines that don't match the picture — a 5-minute check saves the video.
Course · Stage 5: Consistent AI images & video · Lesson 22/40 · 9 min
Why it matters
Viewers screenshot AI mistakes and mock them in comments; the video may be treated as low quality.
When the voice says one thing and the picture shows another, viewers stop trusting — especially in sales videos.
Step by step
- Grab 3 frames per clip (seconds 1, 4, 7) into one contact sheet to see the whole video at once.
- Count hands and fingers in each frame; look for random text, logos, watermarks.
- Compare the character across scenes: face, hair, outfit, accessories unchanged?
- Read the voice-over next to the sheet: does each line have a matching visual ("pouring water" must show pouring)?
- Listen once with headphones: stray voices, off music, mispronounced words.
Common mistakes
- Only skimming at normal speed.
- Fixing lines to match visuals but not re-checking facts.
- Skipping the headphone pass.
Ready-made prompt (ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini)
Here is my video's voice-over per scene: [paste]. Here is what each scene shows: [paste]. Point out lines that describe something not shown, lines with facts that need a source, and suggest short replacement lines that match the visuals.
Exercise
Make a contact sheet for a video you've posted and list every issue you find.
Done when: You have an issue list in 5 groups (hands, text, character, line–visual, audio) fixed before your next post.
