Faceless AI video: keeping the same character in every scene

Last updated 13 Oct 2026

The prompt habits that stop AI video tools from changing faces, outfits and props between clips — and the editing step people forget.

1. The problem

Image and video models do not remember earlier scenes. Write “the same girl as before” and you get a different girl. Viewers notice immediately, and the video stops feeling like a story.

2. Write a character block once, paste it everywhere

For each character write one paragraph with six fixed details: age, face, hair (and hair accessory), outfit with one unique detail, dominant hand and the object they hold, and what they never do. Paste that exact paragraph into every image and video prompt — never “same as above”.

Generate one reference portrait of all characters together first, pick the best, and attach it as the reference image for every scene (Flow / Nano Banana: Ingredients; Midjourney: --cref; ChatGPT: attach).

3. One shot, one action, eight seconds

Most video models produce about 8 seconds. Treat each clip as one continuous shot with one main action and one camera move. Use the image as the first frame of the clip. For a seamless longer scene, take the last frame of clip 1 as the first frame of clip 2 (Flow and Kling call this Extend).

Props keep their state: if food is half eaten in scene 3, it cannot be full in scene 4. Write that into the prompt.

4. Leave room for your logo

Several AI tools stamp a small mark in a bottom corner. Ask the model to keep the bottom corners as plain background, then place your channel or shop icon over that corner in editing. Keep the platform’s AI-generated label switched on when you post — covering a mark is fine, hiding that a video is AI-made is not.

5. How NicheLens helps

Formula Studio writes locked character blocks into every prompt automatically, word-counts the lines to fit 8-second shots, adds the corner rule, and machine-checks the pack on 13 points before you spend a single video credit. You can export the whole formula as a reusable Skill for Claude, Codex or ChatGPT.
